Trafag AG was founded in Switzerland in 1942 as a transformer company ("omen est nomen"). 15 years later, the company became a purely mechanical control device manufacturer (thermostats, pressure switches) and in the 70s, the entry into the electronics followed. The first attempts at sensor technology were made in the 1980s. Today, the company supplies the most precise and stable sensors in the areas of engines, hydraulics, transmissions, test benches, mechanical engineering, food technology, medical technology as well as gas density monitoring. There for specially developed high-tech key components are required, whether they are specific sensor elements or integrated components (ASICs, MEMS). In 2016, by acquiring Torque and More (TAM), Trafag entered the field of magnetic technology and introduced on the market the first electric pressure switch with a display. In 2019, Trafag founded Magnetic Sense in Unterensingen, Germany, with the purpose of serving a larger number of application fields in industrial sectors that need sensors with superior measurement technology, and seek to solve complex measurement tasks to be incorporated into serial applications. Magnetic Sense focuses on the design and production of torque and force sensors, adapting them to the specific needs of each customer. Our sensors are based on the principle of non-contact magnetic-inductive measurement, which makes them more accurate and increases durability. We provide the most appropriate solution for each customer with whom we work together for developing personalized services and projects at the highest level.
