We are your partner for magnetic sensor solutions. Since our founding in 2019, we have established ourselves as experts in measuring force, torque, and position. Our measurement system is based on innovative magnetic inductive technology for force measurement, making it contactless. As a result, our sensors are wear-free and have an extended lifespan. In demanding environments, they offer unparalleled accuracy and reliability in this field. With our approximately 60 employees, we are always striving to develop the best magnetic sensor solutions for our customers' innovations.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of the renowned Trafag AG from Switzerland, we have a strong ally by our side. Our sensors are already being used in various industries and applications, from e-bikes and automotive to condition monitoring, consistently delivering excellent performance.

At our locations in Unterensingen near Stuttgart and Öhringen near Heilbronn, we set high goals and strive to continually set new standards in sensor technology. We have the ability to understand customer needs and develop solutions that address these challenges. Not only do we develop custom sensor solutions, but we also offer a range of standardized sensors that are quick and easy to deploy.

Our history

1942 - Establishment of Trafag AG

  • Our parent company, Trafag AG, was founded in Switzerland in 1942 as a transformer company.

1997 - Founding of Trafag GmbH

  • A new pillar is established - the German Trafag GmbH is founded.

2016 - Merger with Torque and More from Starnberg

  • As a result of the merger with Torque and More GmbH, the company relocates to Unterensingen. More space is needed for expansion.

2019 - First contactless torque sensor

  • Start of the first series production of a contactless torque sensor.

April 2019 - Establishment of Magnetic Sense GmbH

  • From a business unit, a standalone subsidiary in the field of new mobility is formed. Initial experience with more than 100k units per year.

10/2019 - Establishment of Magnetic Sense Automotive GmbH

  • The Magnetic Sense sister company, specializing in the automotive industry, is established.

03/2021 - Start of production in Unterensingen, Germany

  • A small production facility was established on the ground floor of our office building.

2022 - A successful year

  • Start of series production for our first automotive project according to ISO 26262 (functional safety) for a leading supplier
  • We now have 5 products in series
  • We have surpassed the mark of 50+ employees

2023 - Launch of our first "off-the-shelf" sensor - CURIE

  • Our first off-the-shelf product hits the market - CURIE - developed for use in e-bikes
